Map, navigate, adapt and learn

GROMOW self-navigates by monitoring and adapting to environmental information, improving performance by learning as it goes. Visual diagnostics and self-learning – coupled with accurate navigation systems – provide precise orientation, mapping, and navigation anchor points within the garden context.

Lawn structure

Four embedded infra-red cameras gather information about the mower’s surroundings, keeping it on a precise course and within a defined space. These same cameras are utilized to identify species of plants within the lawn structure. Environmental analytics provide informed options to improve lawn condition.

Over seeding

Lawn grasses have climate limits. As the garden matures, the climate warms and weather patterns change, a seed that worked in the past may not necessarily work today or tomorrow. Location, light levels, temperature and moisture provide the first clues to a suitable grass seed mix.

9-liter seed dispensing container

For smaller identified zones, an embedded 9-liter seed dispensing container delivers seed mixes to specific troublesome areas - reseeding them with shade-tolerant, drought- or wear-resistant grass seed mixes that will germinate and thrive.
